Throwback Thursday: Viper Limo is as Strange as it is Undesirable
The world's strangest Dodge Viper was listed for sale on eBay a couple of weeks ago. And the listing has now expired without a single bid, unsurprisingly.
Viper Limo
Listed on eBay as the world's only Viper limo, the wild creation pictured above is an unexpected extended cabin 1996 Dodge Viper RT/10. Severely lacking in the details department, the listing had a starting bid of a whopping $135,000. Hindsight is always 20/20. But no one will be surprised that this crazy vehicle didn't end up enticing a buyer, despite ample media coverage!

Lacking Details
The listing itself didn't provide adequate information even for a $3,000 car, let alone one with a minimum admission cost of over $100K. It featured a handful of low-quality photos, most of which are featured in this slideshow. And the only text it included was a couple of brief sentences indicating the color of the Viper, and the fact that it's been featured in "TV shows/commercials and Special Events."

Missed Opportunity
Interestingly, a few more minutes of effort may have been all the seller needed to turn the dull eBay listing into a properly attractive one. An hour around the car with a decent camera, and a paragraph to describe the offering and its history would have gone a long way. As it turns out, this likely is the world's only Viper limo. And it was built by the famous Unique Movie Cars Las Vegas shop.

Reputable Build
The family-run custom vehicle shop has been responsible for a large volume of movie and TV show vehicles built since all the way back in the '80s until now. The ultra-long-wheelbase Viper listed on eBay was one of their projects from several years back. And it was featured at the 2012 SEMA Show.

The Real Value?
Now, we're setting aside to question why anyone would want to ruin a precious 1996 Viper to create a practically useless, albeit eye-catching 12-passenger vehicle. But in an ideal world, where the aforementioned eBay listing has all the info and photographic details one would need, how much would this 5,900-mile, 25-foot long 1996 Viper with anniversary colors be worth?
