Texas Couple are World's Biggest Viper Fans
If you find you a wife that appreciates cars as much as you do, you could end up like this couple in Texas. Check out the amazing Viper collection these two love birds own.
1. 140-Car Collection
Oil transport company owners, Wayne and D'Ann Rauh, have dedicated an entire building on their Texas property for their 140-car collection. The collection consists of 80 Dodge Vipers and 60 other types of cars. The couple ensures that every single car gets driven, and there are only about three Dodge Vipers that stay parked in the facility.
2. Happy Wife = Happy Life
Collecting cars have been known to be a man's hobby, but not in this family. Wayne is responsible for purchasing 21 of the Vipers, and the rest are all courtesy of D'Ann. D'Ann believes that no one in the world has more Dodge Vipers than her, and after seeing some of the Vipers in her collection, it's hard to argue with that. The couple even have unique Dodge Vipers, like a limited edition Spiderman Dodge Viper and a Star Wars Dodge Viper with Darth Vader's face painted on it.
3. Plans of Selling the Collection
With 80 Dodge Vipers in their collection, D'Ann and Wayne have no plans to sell any of them anytime soon. The only reason the couple would sell their beloved Dodge Vipers is when they get too old to bend into a low-to-the-ground car, then they would consider selling them. D'Ann described the Vipers as her kids and she said, "you don't get rid of your kids."
4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Aside from three Vipers that don't get driven, each and every single car in their collection gets attention and love, and every single car gets driven often. All of the Dodge Vipers get their maintenance on time, and every single time one of the Vipers leaves the building, it gets a complete cleaning after that could take a full day. Wayne lifts them up, removes all four tires, and gives them a thorough cleaning before tucking them back to bed.
5. Collection's Worth
With 80 Dodge Vipers, this little collection is worth a penny or two. The least expensive Dodge Viper is worth $45,000, and the most expensive one is worth $236,000. The Dodge Viper with the highest value in the family is the Sons of Italy special edition model, which was built by SRT in 2013. This Viper was a one-off-model that was given to Italian-American fraternal organization. The entire Dodge Viper collection is estimated to be worth $7.5 million, but it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
