Roadrunner Turned Up to 11

The Plymouth Road Runner's underrated charm parallels the modest reputation of the cartoon character it's named after – the Road Runner. As jaw-droppingly powerful as it was in its day, this particular 1969 Road Runner now boasts a reworked power plant, boosted by a massive supercharger, giving it a whopping 800 horsepower on tap.

Custom Build

This custom Road Runner boasts revamped chrome bumpers, a repainted exterior, a tailored rear end accommodating 18-inch Centerline wheels, and performance-enhancing elements like independent front suspension, rear coilovers, and Wilwood power-assisted disc brakes.

Modernized Interior

Its interior is adorned with power-adjustable seats borrowed from a fifth-generation Pontiac GTO, power windows, air conditioning, and a Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system, among other upgrades.

Low Mile Mill

Having covered a mere 700 miles since completion, this project car features a rebuilt 440 ci V8 engine paired with a BDS supercharger, FAST fuel injection, and Mopar Performance valve covers.

Putting The Power Down

The TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic gearbox with a manual throttle body efficiently channels power to the rear wheels. While a dyno test wasn't performed, an estimated 800 horsepower lies beneath the throttle, demanding careful direction before acceleration.

A Steal?

With the BaT auction coming to a close earlier today, this unique offering was sold for a healthy $74,499. A pretty good deal for this particular build. we'd say. The new owner will surely have a great time with their new acquisition. Irrespective of era, this Road Runner epitomizes true muscle car prowess.
