Ringbrothers 1969 Dodge Charger Restomod

Never able to settle for less than perfection, Ringbrothers pulled out all the stops for this build, dubbed "Captiv." Based on a 1969 Dodge Charger, this car has transformed into a modern muscle machine with upgraded electronics, interior, exterior, suspension, and more.

Homage to the Past, Built for the Future

If you love classic muscle but haven't heard of Ringbrothers, you're in for a treat. Those of us familiar with the company know the high-quality items they churn out. The same can be said for their latest creation, which is a 1969 Dodge Charger called the "Captiv."

Subtle Touches Enhance The Charger's Charm

One thing Ringbrothers do right is restomods. They keep the essence of a classic muscle car while at the same time making it better in every measurable way. Look closely and you'll find an integrated rear diffuser and LED taillights.

It's the Little Things

However, Ringbrothers knows when to leave things alone. No need to touch the fog lights, especially with that Fratzog logo right in the middle. Most MOPAR fans last saw this on the Polara, but Dodge has been touting this logo in recent advertising.

Peek-A-Boo!

Making this car measurably better in a significant way is the 6.2-liter Hellcat motor. Although the hood is Shaker style, this part of the engine is peeking out simply to allow the hood to shut. No intakes here. Everything above the hood is all supercharger.

Ringbrothers' Attention to Detail Is Amazing

One thing we learn from Motor1 is that Ringbrothers aren't satisfied with the standard Charger interior. Here, a MoTeC dash helps control all of the Hellcat engine functions. The rest of the interior is completely redone with carbon fiber and other dark metal accents. It's the most significant area of change on the car, but honestly, the area that needs it most.

Heart of the Beast

Last but not at all least is the engine. Yanked from the MOPAR performance parts bin, this crate engine sends power to the back wheels via a 6-speed manual. All is as it should be.
