Former Glory

The 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A you see pictured above is in pristine condition. It recently underwent a comprehensive restoration, hence its jaw-dropping appearance. If it's tickled your fancy, then you'll be happy to know it's now up for sale. It comes with a Chrysler Registry Report and a copy of the window sticker.

Rare

What makes this car so rare isn't just its amazing condition, it's its color scheme. It rolled out of the factory wearing Dodge's Panther Pink FM3 color scheme. While that was rare to see in 1970, it's even rarer to see now, especially on a limited-edition Challenger T/A.

Powertrain

Propelling this beauty is the correct 340 CI six-pack engine. This was a special version of the powerplant, with unique heads, a 3x2 intake design, and a side-exit factory exhaust system. All of this engine's 290 horsepower runs through an A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

A Thing of Beauty

If you drive down the street in this Challenger T/A one thing is certain, you'll turn heads. The Panther Pink paint is beautifully contrasted by the black T/A graphics. Its black functional fiberglass hood and chin and deck spoilers leave no doubt, this car means business. The body-colored sport mirrors and chrome exhaust trumpets are more than enough to make people take a second look.

Interior

The inside of this Challenger T/A is just as inspiring as its exterior. Sit into its high-backed vinyl bucket seats and you'll be greeted by a Rallye dash featuring a 150 MPH speedometer and tach. There's also a center-console that houses a Slap Stik shifter.

State of the Art

When this Challenger T/A rolled off the assembly line in 1970, it's fair to say it was a state-of-the-art machine. It came with Chrysler's solid-state radio and a driver's side remote mirror.

Handling

This is a classic muscle car but that doesn't mean that the handling has to be appalling. This model was fitted with heavy-duty shocks and suspension, as well as front and rear sway bars. So it should stay relatively level through the bends. Keeping you sure-footed arePolyglas GT offset tires, which wrap Rallye wheels.
