If the SRT Hellcat is too much Charger for you, how about a naturally-aspirated widebody Scat Pack instead?

For those who don't like boost

If you like the idea of Dodge's 2020 model year widebody package for its Charger SRT, but prefer an atmospheric engine, there is a solution. The company will offer the SRT Hellcat widebody kit on its naturally-aspirated Charger Scat Pack too.

White and black makes it look even wider

The dual-tone color scheme is unusual but looks very on-trend when applied to the 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack widebody. With white flanks and outer details, the car's additional width is accentuated, an effect enhanced by the black hood, roof, and trunk.

No mesh, but an aero slit

The Charger Scat Pack widebody might have only one hood scoop and lack the two ventilation mesh inserts found on a Hellcat, but it has that additional air-in slot between the bumper and grille. Cooling therefore improves, ensuring that 6.4-liter V8 is always running easy.

Wider where it needs to be

Similar to the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat, which features factory fitment of Dodge's new widebody kit, the Charger Scat Pack is 3.5-inches wider. That not only improves its stance from a visual perspective, but it also creates room for wider tires.

Rolling serious kit

Homed in those much wider wheel arches are Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires. Each wheel corner of the widebody Charger Scat Pack also features 32% stiffer suspension spring rates. And to assist with braking, those Italian Brembo brakes are massive in size, measuring 15.4-inches in diameter.

A big atmospheric V8

Although the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat and its widebody Scat Pack sibling look very much alike, the cars have different characters due to their dissimilar engine configurations. The naturally-aspirated Charger Scat Pack delivers its 485hp, from 6.4-liters of capacity, in a very linear manner.

Three numbers that mean a lot

The 2020 Charger Scat Pack widebody wears an iconic Hemi badge with pride. Since 2007, the '392' series of numbers have had a specific resonance of Dodge performance with muscle car fans. These are some of the most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 engines still in production.

All in the details

For those who consider the Charger SRT Hellcat overkill as a streetcar, the widebody option on a Charger Scat Pack makes a lot of sense. You get the same striking appearance, all the suspension and tire upgrades, and perhaps - more usable performance. There is a school of thought that says that any true Chrysler muscle car, no matter how modern, should always have an atmospheric V8. And with the 2020 Charger Scat Pack, that is the case.
