Old Farm Truck? Think Not.

Take a quick glance at the rough and tumble exterior of this 1968 Dodge Hellcat Power Wagon, and the patina is what immediately catches the eye. Without any closer inspection, this old rig will look like a beat-up farm hauler. And that's exactly the vibe the folks over at Roadster Shop are going for. But a peek underneath the truck will start to reveal its true nature.

Roadster Shop Build

The Illinois-based restomod shop is no stranger to building extraordinary trucks such as this one. They specialize in building chassis, but perhaps their most notable products are their restomod '70s Chevy S10s, which carry a hefty price tag of $250,000. Although this particular truck is not for sale, one could imagine the cost for such a build would likely be in 6 figures as well.

Hellcat Power

With the Power Wagon, the instantly impressive feature is the Hellcat motor. The V8 is capable of over 700 horsepower, and it's mated to a 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission. The power makes its way through the Atlas transfer case down to the Currie 60 VXR axles and digging into the earth with 37-inch BFG Mud Terrains.

RS Chassis

The powertrain and drivetrain setup, along with the rest of the body, sits atop Roadster Shop's RS4 chassis. The frame is designed for the first-generation Bronco, but it works nicely in this application as well. The shop also sells the heavy-duty chassis as a separate item, with prices starting at $36,495.

Heavy Duty Suspension

A crucial element of a high-performance build, the suspension setup features Fox coilovers with remote reservoirs. The state-of-the-art platform also features a pushrod-style rear end.

Capable Beast

With its capable frame and suspension setup, the Roadster Shop build is ready for the toughest off-road trails. And whether it's splashing around in the mud, or keeping within the confines of civilization, the Power Wagon restomod's supercharged Hellcat V8 provides an awesome soundtrack to go with the cool looks.
