1970 Dodge Charger 500 is a Survivor
numbers-matching 1970 Charger would serve as a great starting point for a restoration project.
Rare Find
It's hard to believe that the year 1970 was more than half a century ago. It does make sense that with time, unaltered classic sports cars like this second-generation Charger have become exponentially more difficult to come by. That's why when one does pop up on eBay or other auction sites, it usually comes with a hefty price tag.

Numbers Matching
This particular example of the Dodge muscle car is one that still has its numbers-matching 318 motor, mated to an automatic transmission. And amazingly, it still runs and drives. The 1970 Charger 500 wears a desirable Lime Green Metallic paint with a black vinyl top. The interior, which looks to be in decent shape, features vinyl green bucket seats to go with the exterior hue.
Almost Ruined
The seller reportedly purchased the car a while back as a donor. That's right! This Charger 500 was almost converted into the seller's high school Charger, which was a burnt orange example with a white vinyl top and orange interior. Upon realizing this car was too nice for such a project, he decided to keep it intact, they've since listed it for sale on eBay.
Drivable Project
The good thing about a car like this is that it doesn't have to be relegated to a corner of the backyard while parts are ordered and installed. The next owner of this Dodge can drive it and enjoy it throughout the restoration process. The odometer apparently shows about 111K miles. Not exactly low mileage, but nothing that would require a complete overhaul of the drivetrain immediately either.
Place a Bid
Another interesting fact about this car is that it was featured on an episode of Graveyard Carz. As of this writing, there are five days left on the eBay auction, with the current bid at $32,000. If you see a nice 1970 Charger resto project in your future, head over to the listing and place a bid!
