10 Easter Egg Colored Dodges

Even though you'll never be able to drive an Easter egg down the street you can find solace in driving a trusty Dodge that happens to be pastel colored around town. Here are some that caught our eyes.

1. 2009 Dodge Caliber

It is a bit surprising to see our first Easter Dodge hailing from Britannia. Dodge has garnered a reputation for being a "by Americans, for Americans" kind of brand. However, it's also Easter, and there are few better times to reconsider our preconceptions than right now. Posted on a used car for sale, this 2009 Dodge Caliber is coated with a bright blue metallic sheen that is considered rare for its make and model.

2. Bright Green Challenger

Along with the Dodge Viper, the Challenger is arguably Dodge's most impressive mass-market car. While it's up there with the modern American muscle car greats, some might say the car's got the color of mucus. Others still might be reminded of bright Easter colors. Let's go with the latter; the festive spirit is a lot nicer to think about than bodily functions. More importantly, still, this green Challenger probably looks every bit as incredible as it should on the road.

3. 2010 Special Blue Challenger

We couldn't talk about Dodge car colors without giving mention to this 2010 Challenger SRT8 we found. The color used is called Special B5 blue. It's a very rare color to see on a '10 Challenger. This is because Special B5 Blue was originally intended as an exclusive 2009 color, but production halted during the auto industry crisis. When the production began again the following year, they decided to use up the paint they had left from the last production. Only around 450 of these '10 B5 Blue Challengers exist in the world.

4. Stryker Orange Viper ACR

The people behind Dodge's choice of design aesthetics have always had a soft spot for orange. The subtle gradient effect in the paint makes this slick Dodge Viper all the more impressive.  Bright Easter colors are a perfect choice if you want to catch peoples' attention. Not that the Viper can't do that well enough on its own.

5. Panther Pink Challenger

This type of Panther Pink walks the fine balance between brightness and softness that the Easter palette is all about. It's also probably one of the least common colors in the Challenger's history. Be that as it may, the pink Challenger brings with it a friendly appeal. This isn't a car we'd mind driving around in the middle of April.

6. 2016 Mango Challenger and Charger SRT

It's been mentioned that Dodge has a historic love for the color orange on their cars. So much so that the recent 2016 incarnation of their Challenger and Charger lines has been offered with an option for a "Go Mango" paint job. This bold color achieved classic status with the Challenger line in 1970, and it goes without saying that a top-notch vehicle deserves an appropriately bold color to go with it. Easter colors should be bright but friendly. Go Mango is lots of both.

7. 1994 Yellow Viper

This bright yellow Dodge Viper still holds up lookswise, despite being over 20 years old, and despite coming from a decade that wasn't particularly known for its timeless performance car aesthetics.  The color here, "Viper Bright Yellow", has got sunny and festivity written all over it.

8. Plum Purple Hellcat

Purple isn't nearly as iconic with Dodge as orange is, but it's worth mentioning that Dodge had been one of the few to work with it as a feasible paint job color. With a certain degree of nostalgia built up for plum purple in the wake of its use in Dodge runs of the early 1970s, Dodge is the opportunity this miserably underrepresented color could do with to legitimize itself in the canon paint scheme.

9. 2009 Bright Blue Nitro

The compact SUV class to which the Dodge Nitro belongs doesn't have the same joyous vibe as some of Dodge's other products, but the color here is in keeping with Easter's inclusively bright holiday palette.

10. 1970 Blood Orange Challenger

For Dodge fans looking to celebrate a holiday spirit, few things are going to get the blood going like the sight of a classy 1970 Challenger. While most of the colors here are typically brighter than most cars, Dodge's designs themselves-- even many of the newer ones-- have a timelessly aesthetic appeal to them. Whether it's Easter or not, Dodge has earned their place as one of the few still faithfully upholding the American muscle car tradition.
