Interior/Exterior Trim
While Dodge has released pictures of the exterior of the new Caliber,
interior trim information is still at a relative minimum. Some rumors have
said that the SXT (which is generally a sights and sounds package) will
include such leisure items as a cooled center console, lighted cup holders,
hideaway compartment behind the rear seat, tire pressure monitoring system,
17 inch alloy wheels, and a six speaker CD/MP3 stereo system. The RT
package includes the same leisure options, but with blackout trim, chrome
moldings, leather interior, heated seats, chrome finished exhaust tip, and
fog lights. Also, in addition to the aforementioned items, the items that
you would come in many of the new Dodge vehicles, such as whiteface gauges,
keyless entry, rack and pinion steering, HomeLink, power seats, power
mirrors, power windows, Sirius satellite radio, and dual power outlets.
While the interior trim options are fairly vague thus far, judging by the
numerous features and gorgeous interiors in the new vehicles offered by
Daimler Chrysler Corporation, they are not likely to disappoint when the
interior of this car is finally exposed to the public eye early in 2006 at
the North American International Auto Show.
