Default new to neons

hello everyone
i have just one question about neons
i have a 2000 es atx
when i rev the engine in park or neutral it doesnt go past 4k rpm, is there anyway to by pass or change that?

Nope. That's the rev limiter. It basically prevents you from blowing up your engine. You can get a performance PCm (although I am not sure about your year) that will move the rev limit up.

If you didn't want a rev limiter should've gotten a 1st gen ATX.

I've got a 99 ATX and I can rev the engine to 8k.

Although I don't do it because it's dangerous. I found out on accident one day.

4K sounds low though. the rev limiter ahould be higher than that. the limiter should be around 6000-6500.

wow mines goes to 6500 or so, how does yours goto 8000 Crazy?

Aren't autos limited to revving in park or neutral to like 4k? I don't have that problem..mine will rev all the way to redline.
