<FONT face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color=#000099 size=3>It is obvious that the slingshot is a modificationof the Razor concept introduced two years ago. Does anyone know if either of these cars wil make production, and if so, would you be able to pull that three cyclinder engine out of the slingshot?</FONT>
I don't think the Razor is, if it were, the Slingshot wouldn't look so much like it. But I haven't heard much on the Slingshot's future, it's got great reviews and is affordable... I'd have to say it's definately a possibility...
Since it's still hailed as a concept, I don't know anything about engine offerings.. but no matter what they have in it, you can always do the Mod yourself and swap engines. But I'd stick it out with the 3cyl for a bit, see if it's as cool as they say. Hehehe!

The Razor was done completely right. The Sling Shot is almost completely wrong. The Sling Shot is powered by a laughable 3 cylinder with 95HP, the Razor has a 4 cylinder turbo thats a little better than the SRT-4's at 250HP. The Sling Shot is a mid engine RWD, the Razor is a front mounted engine RWD. Both are very light weight 2 seaters that are very affordable. The Razor is only a concept car <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley7.gif border="0"> , from what I have heard the Sling Shot is going to go into production with 5 more HP bringing it to a massive 100HP <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley36.gif border="0"> that will rocket it from 0-60MPH in 10 seconds flat <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley36.gif border="0"> <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley36.gif border="0">, but it does get 45 MPG.
The Dodge Slingshot concept car, is nothing more than a rebadged and refreshened Smart Roadster shown in the pictures above. Rumor has it, this car may see production and Chrysler Group has given us a hint, since the car was posted along side a new 2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10 in a photo on Chrysler's media website, along w/ an article about Dodge expanding their brand across the globe.</P>
The 90 horsepower, 3-cylinder motor in the Slingshot does 0-60 in 10 seconds, and gets 45mpg. Talk has had fans asking if they will build one w/ a 2.4L "TURBO" inline four, from the SRT-4. However, the engine is simply to big for this car. This car may make a overseas debut only!</P>
That is why they need to build the Razor and not the Sling Shot, the Razor had a beefier version of the SRT-4's 2.4L Turbo. I have no problem with the Sling Shot going into production, I'm sure it might sell pretty well, but it will piss me off if they make it and not the Razor. They need to make both or just the Razor.
