ORIGINAL: DakotaStone Well, I was told today by my chain of command that I'll probably go on TDY (Temporary Duty) for a month up to Seattle, then they're going to require me to move up there, which stinks. The reason why that stinks is because I've only been in the house for a year and the market is hurting so bad that I wouldn't even come close to getting what I owe and what I've put into it. This is starting to really suck. If something isn't done soon, I'm going to be in over my head before I know it. I'm going to guess Navy or Coast Guard. Normally I wouldn't count the Puddle Pirates as active duty but I have a buddy on my Sentra site that was just re-relocated there from FL. He loves it up there. Hated FL. Anywho, won't they help you with marketing, selling, and buying a house? I didn't own a house when I was in so I've no idea but they should. If you were in the private sector, the company would pay relo costs if they were worth a shit.

I'm in the Active Guard Reserve (active duty) for the Army National Guard for Washington. And no, they won't do any of that for me. It's kind of screwed up. Anyway, I'm not sure how this whole thing is going to work out. I'm so frustrated, I can't even sleep at night. Right now I'm working off of a caffeine buzz.

stone, I think I would try to get the most out of the truck and get something that holds relsale a bit better. I know I am going to get slammed for saying this... because I want to punch myself, but you should look at the new accords. with your trade in you would only be rolling a small amount of negative onto your current loan. but you will hold value on the car... The only reason I sway this is because I was looking into it a couple weeks ago. I cant part with my truck though, it would take a lot nicer car than a cheap honda or toyota. either way, good luck man. Times are tight all over the country... I kinda know how you are feeling. I am trying to support 2 kids and my fiance. she cant work right now, so stuff is tough.
