01" Ram 2500 4X4 Quad Cab Sport (Red) Short Bed V-10 Auto 41,000 Miles & Mopar Warranty.
I purchased this truck 11-05 to tow our snowmobiles back and forth to Northern Michigan, at that time it had 32,000 miles on it and now has 41,000. Last year my wife was diagnosed with "MS" and we've since sold our snowmobiles and no longer need a truck. It truely breaks my heart to sell it but, it has been our 3rd auto for too long in our one income home.
I called my local dealer approx. 3 months, the Depts. Part Manager ran my VIN to fill in me on the trucks options & equipment. He said it has every available option except: Cummins-Leather-8 Ft. Bed. I asked him about the the Diffs, He stated the front is a Dana 60 and the rear is either a 70 or 80 (I can't remember). The Ram has 4:10 gears w/ rear anti-spin along with 4 wheel disc brakes and ABS. The man I spoke with stated that it has the factory Off-Road-Snow Plow-Heavy Duty Towing w/ Mopar hitch-Handling (sway bars)packages. There is nothing light duty about this truck period.
Besides the fore mention options, I'll include a few more plus some aftermarket add-ons. A/C-Pwr. windows & locks-Pwr. remote & heated mirrors-tilt-cruise-overhead console w/ digital display, trip info. & fuel info. & map lights-Pwr driver's seat-Pioneer 8700 In-Dash Am/Fm/CD/MP3/WMA 50x4 watt player with remote- Rockford Fosgate Door Speakers- 500 watt Amp (Not a teenagers "Thumper" system, just sounds really good)- Keyless Entry & Remote Starter ("Viper" aftermarket add-on).
The truck currently has Goodyear Wrangler MTR'stires inwhich need replaced, this is a off-road tire that DOES not help the ride & handling quality of this truck. I'm willing to work on the price considering this but, I will not give the truck away! I have many tune-up & maintence parts that I have yet to install but will include with the purchase of this truck. Taylor Ign. Wires- Bosch +4 Spark Plugs-Radiator Hoses-Serp. Belt-Front Brake Pads (I was driving in town and heard the common brake squeal so I bought new front pads, turns out they didn't need replaced. I'm thinking the brakes just got hot from the stop & go traffic). This truck has the "COMMON" exhuast rattle at idle. I spoke with my dealer and he stated the Cat. Convertors are known for this and these items are still covered under the Mopar Warranty. Just so you know, I'm straight forward and honest.
I'm trying to post a pic however, I'm new here.I can email pics upon request, my email address is
zrt800ho@yahoo.com Truck is located in Northern Ohio (44889). Thank You, Dan
BTW, the Mopar Extended is more than a powertrain warranty. It covers the majority of the truck, power windows, power seat, A/C system, and so on. Thought I'd let you knowthat it's not the basic warranty. I believe Mopar requires a $50 transfer fee to the new owner.
