I just saw the Challenger in a commercial on TV while watching a NFL football game here in AZ. There were two short shots one was a front view sitting still and the other was the Challenger burning rubber from a stop light, leaving a Mustang sitting still. It was a wonderful thing. http://www.dodgechallenger.com/forums/image/s2.gif http://www.dodgechallenger.com/forums/image/s2.gif

Hey paladin06, glad to see you came here as well. If they decide to offer the 6.4L in the Challenger, it will be something that we will see on a regular basis.

If I'm not mistaken, what you saw was an old Challenger, not a Mustang....

....Ok, why the hell would they have a "new" Challenger smoke it's "founder"??? Would rather it have been a mustnag or an old Camaro...
Brilliant...not

It's a deeper meaning thing. The new Challenger smokes the old one off the line because it's a way of showing that the old one is passing the torch because the old one doesn't even try.If you notice it's a middle aged man in the old one as compared to a young guy in the new one andafter the new one leaves the older man just laughs. It's a symbolic thing... beautiful really.

Makes sense to me.... why show a mustang in a challenger commercial... and i have to think that the major demographic they are targeting for the challenger is male 20 - 60 years old. This does not mean that women dont think the car is hot! But the old farts like me are the ones who have the money... then again the young guys are willing to spend more of their take home pay on a car.

i bet the nascar race on 5/10/08 in Darlington will have a challenger ad on T.V....or at least they should since the name of the race is the Dodge Challenger 500.
