Lightly modded with a 20g? Uhh yeah right....go with the IROC. theres more of a market out there and if you put a hybrid on em and some lonewolf stuff you will have a FAST car.

Thank you. You took the words right out of my mouth.  I too saw the title of this thread and had to chime in. Go with the IROC. None of the power jet crap in the head. No electrical issues. an extra cam..... People talk about the TIII heads being problems, but there is nothing that cant be fixed and then prevented next time with theses RTs. The thing about the chewing up timing belts is an easy fix, a timing belt tensioner, the correct tension and a set a Ti spring retainers and your set. The bottom end on them is stout, you can make 400 hp on a stocker with some piece of mind. The valvetrain is overbuilt and can handle10,000 rpm with the springs it has. A hybrid turbo and you will make some serious power. The only, ONLY thing a conquest has on a IROC RT is RWD. And I wouldnt give up my RT motor for RWD anyday. Just my .02 Plus irocelectric said it, put some lonewolf performance stuff on that RT and 11s with a driver will not be far behind. His grocery getter runs 11.6 and getting quicker.... Full interior, everything. I will be getting his holset set up from his daily driver RT once it gets back from SDAC. WOOT! Cant wait to let my car breath!

look i know most conquests you run into are all used up or have a bad head gasket or cracked exhaust manifold. common problems with them.  but if you run into that one that has a rebuilt caravan head upgraded turbo and ported exhaust your gonna be embarrased.  our 88 has out ran most of the modified srt-4s in our area.  of course its not the fastest thing in the world but it will hold its own with just about anything.

If we lived near each other, I would so love to take you up on that. And I would be on the stock turbo.  What caravan head are you talking about? I highly doubt there is a caravan head that outflows the DOHC lotus head that comes on the RTs. Not to mention, mine has been worked over by LoneWolf performance so it really flows. 280 CFM @ .350" Intake and 222 CFM @ .350" exhaust. Not to mention, I have a ported intake and exhaust mani as well. My enitre build list is in the cardomain link in my sig. I have NEVER seen a conquest that concerns me, thats not saying its impossible and will never happen, its just, I have yet to see one run real well and would put an RT motor up against a head swaped Conquest motor anyday. As far as SRTs go, mine was running with or beating stage two with toys when mine was on what I concidered to be "stage one" mods for my RT.
In fact, since we dont live near each other, or atleast I dont think we do, how about we make this interesting and make a friendly little wager? Fastest slip (on video) wins by the end of the season wins... and you can see my whole mod list in my sig.  What do you say?

BTW, I am in NO way trying to take away from what you have done with the car! I am just chiming in on some misinformation about IROCs. Soudns like you guys have built an awesome car, and regardless of make or model, you should get props for that.
