Default General Tech Forum

Recently the Model forums have been subdivided into Gen. sub-forums, Would there be any interest in subdividing General Tech into systems?
i.e.:
Engine, Electrical, Suspension, Body, Drivetrain............

Just a thought.

That's a good idea, but the way new cars are controlled by the various computers and electronics, would make it hard for alot of people to decide what sub-forum to post in. As an example, look at a new car transmission with shifting problems. Could be mechanical or electrical in nature.

I agree. Since many systems are interconnected, it would be a (moderator's!!) nightmare to keep the postings in the correct area. It's a good idea, but not really workable considering the number of postings DF gets and it's growing membership...
Thanks for trying to improve the system, though!!!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
