Well, I've been considering making my truck a street truck with air bags and all that good stuff. Lifting my truck just won't be practical for me, because of the cost for all these different parts needed for lifting a truck. Making my truck into a fast street truck, on the other hand, would be cheaper and more fun for me, because I find my self at the strip more than I do off-road.

The only thing is, would this work out for my truck? I have a 1997 5.2L Club Cab 4x4. How would lowering a 4x4 truck and adding an air bag system work out? Thanks in advance.

Dude! Lowering a 4x4 truck is retarted. If you want a street truck, get a 2x4. It is going to be alot lighter, you dont sound like you need the extra weight of the tranfer case if your going to lower it, you must not need the four wheel drive so why have it?

A friend of mine use to pull up beside vetts and cameros. and drop it in to 4low. He would stand on it for 150 feet,then backoff .By the time they pulled a long side to ask whats in that thing. We were laughing so hard at the look on their face,we could not tell them all it had was low gears and 4 wheels of traction. Truck $10,000 vett $40,000 The look on their face priceless.
