Default Replacing ECU capacitors

Quick question....If it's my ECU capacitors are leaking is it likey I need to change out the entire ECU computer or can I just change out the capacitors? Thanks. MB

You can change them yourself, but unless you are very handy at desoldering and soldering, it is a job best left to professionals.

I have a place down the street from me that can do it just curious if the rest of the board will be ruined due to the leakage.

What I liked about ECMTOGO is they had a test car on site they would put the units in so they could test them thoroughly before sending them back.

The electronics shop should be able to swap the caps without any issues, and they should be able to check the integrity of the board. You won't know for sure until you reinstall it. How much will they charge you to swap out the caps? If it isn't too expensive, it would be worth it.

It cost about $250 + shipping for ECMTOGO. If they can fix it for around $100, you'd be money ahead. That is of course if there is no other damage to the board.
