Default Anyone BUY a lifetime powertrain warranty?

I read on the Dodge website that owners of 2006 or 2007 Dodge vehicles (who bought them before July 26) may buy the lifetime powertrain warranty, (see copy of question from FAQ's below) Did anyone buy one? If so how how much? Thanks

Q12: If I purchased my vehicle on July 24 or 25, am I still eligible for the new lifetime limited warranty?[*]A12: No. However, Chrysler Service Contracts offers a Lifetime Powertrain service contract that is similar to the Company’s new powertrain warranty program. For 60 days, this plan will be offered at a great value to you if you own a 2006 MY and 2007 MY Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle with the 3/36 basic limited warranty coverage

Thanks for the info.I did some research and decided I am going to buy the lifetime warranty with almost everything covered (Maxcare). But I am going to wait till next year. I was told it should be the same price. the only one that will increase on Sept 30 is Powertrain only.

$3500 seems like a good deal. I assume this is a zero deductible for a car with current 3/36 warrnaty. I will be buying one in a few months which dealer do you work for?

There is a deductible. Something like $100 for the lifetime

I am almost positive for the extended warranty you can get $100, $50 or zero deductible.
