Wow, "At the heart of the Hemi supercharger kit is a Novi 1200 head unit, capable of 1000CFM and 680 horsepower"  I wonder what you have to do to get the  680HP?  Would the tranny even be able to handle that?!?!  I don't know anything about cars, but I would love to have my Charger be a beast that it should be!

Has anyone read Car and Driver lately? They have an article with all the new 08 cars, the Viper looks pretty f***ing sick! They put it head to head with the corvette. I also read that their changing the dashboard and a few other things on the Chargers, anyone got any pics of that? Or is it just minor changes?

Check the Charger forum for an ASM unit...but you better have some serious bank...like $7600 plus installation. http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55079

We haven't seen a proven supercharged solution for our Hemis.  On another forum I asked Tbyrne how many of these they have seen on the road and have not got an answer to that question.  If you try out this supercharger proceed into it as a startup venture with possible capital and an engine to loose.

I just recently got an information packet from procharger for their HO inrercooled kit good for 45/50% power gain at 6psi. I wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this kit. I was concerns about forking out 5,300 and then finding out i dont have enough fuel.. Or spark..

See post #4 above as it applies to this as well, remember until these setups are on the road in numbers and they have proven themselves proceed with caution and the cash to rebuild the engine if something goes wrong.

I think if you want SRT beating power the best way I think is basic bolt-on's exhaust, intake, headers, performance chip, and a healthy 75shot of nitrous, and of course wider and better performing tires. You may think well what about ported heads, and strong cam but when those come into play so does tuning and thats where the Hemi engines kind of out of the loop for now that is. But once thats fixed I can see 360-385HP N/A 5.7L's and some 430-470HP 6.1L's and then comes stroker motors pushing 500-650HP

If you get a B&G tune or Predator w/custom tune your set to go, that tuning issue is gone for cam/heads.

Hide-n-see what happens with turbos and superchargers, I'm sure their next in line to get going properly.

Well thats good, then we should see some R/T's pushing close to 400HP N/A killing the mds of course.

Just for some basic info. The Novi 1200 is a very good unit. In fact that is what is getting installed in my vehicle. Now someone posted that they saw that it was rated at 680 HP. Well that is both true and false. True that it can do 680HP. Not with 6PSI though. Now I will be running 8 PSI with a LARGE amount of other upgrades. With all said and done I will be sitting at  about 540 RWHP. You cannot just bolt one of these bad boys on and expect to get this rip snortn monster. Yes this bolt on kit will make a difference but there are other very important factors to consider. Like can your pistons handle the added HP. Another question was can the Trans handle the HP. Well the Charger input shaft is rated for 700hp. Now your Tourque Converter will have to be replaced. I am having one custom made for my vehicle. If your gonna do something like this be ready to spend some money. I am spending almost $17,000 on my project. That means complete head work, new pistons, cam lifters, headers, exhaust system, Supercharger, plumbing, Tourque Converter, trans shift kit custom competer program, plus suspension work. Plus alot of other dod dads. So again be ready to put some serious money into your machine if your going to do it right. Also do your homework before you go out and start throwing money at your car. By the way I am doing all this to an 06 Dodge Charger RT Daytona Edition #618

Wow freaking nice, ,keep us updated on your progress and thoughts.   I'm wishing you all  the luck bro!

I'm sure you have a list of whats getting upgraded (pistons, crank...) when you have time please post it up. I've seen some people thinking the base package, $6-5K, is all you need and obvisouly it's not.  For a base package, 6psi, done right isn't it around $9-10K?

Does the Supercharger add 680 HP or does it just add 330 HP to the R/T?

I think 450-550 would be more realistic and would depend on the pully size as to how much boost/HP it would produce.  More boost/HP would also require hardening the lower end.

What type of brakes would be good for the Supercharger Chargers?
