My wife has the R/T 4.0, and she is getting like 10-11 local, and 14-16 on the highway.  My 04 Dakota with 4.7 gets better.  She is a very conservative driver.  It only has 3,000 miles, and we are hoping once it is broke in it gets better.  The Ford explorer she trade in on this got like 18 in town, and 22+ on the highway.

Holy Shite!  I get better mileage than that in my 5.7L QC Ram 4x4!

I can't say that I was seriously considering a Nitro, but it most definitely piqued my curiosity.  Not so sure anymore seeing as there is minimal difference in gas mileage... if any at all.

My 07 R/T Nitro gets 16.9 in city and 21-22 hwy.  Something must be wrong with her Nitro if she's only getting 10-11 city!  That's the lowest I've heard from anyone.  Could be time to reset the system via the negative battery post or take it back to the dealer!

I agree with the other post, my 03 QC hemi Ram got 13.6 city and 16 hwy (w/o MDS).
