I think this site should have a monthly giveaway

Thats how you guys can keep this place up and have members enthusiastic. And if you dont even feel like paying for the prize yourself admins, make a "site donations" thing at the bottom. Have a paypal account and use it at the end of each month after members have donated some money. When members donate money, you can permit several different access levels and special features on this site, and have below there user name the level theyve accomplished this month (i hope that makes sense)

I guess, ive never been there...

I know viperalley.com has this system. It works GREAT. Last month they gave away a lap-top. No expense to the admin. Just a collection of donations by users

just make a car or truck of the month!!

make a seperate forum that only mods can post in for each past winner. first 2 weeks of the month let people nominate who they want (no self nominations) then the last two weeks make a poll for people to vote!!

in the winners circle post some thing like "Dodge Forums Vehicle of the month for October 2003: Dodgegirl19"

and have a link to thier CD site or gallery here!!

WOOWHO! Thank you for using me an as example!! ;) I think Truck of Month is a great idea... based on active users only... nominations is very cool. And it'll make the nomiee all warm annd fuzzy inside that someone liked their ride... :)

I would donate to help keep this site up in Paypal, but I wouldn't give money to a giveaway if I wasn't insured to get something back. My money doesn't grow on tree's. LOL! :) Sometimes I have a great month on ebay... that would be different... but other times... not so good... can't give up the bucks then. But a giveaway would be cool. ;)

Still Truck Of The Month sounds great! :) It's very interactive... maybe create a Hall Of Fame...? Past Winners Shown. Maybe have a Truck Of The Year...? {Now would be a good time to think about that... as Jan rapidly approaches}

Yeah, but if we have a car/ truck of the month, then how would we know who owns what? I could say to you that i own a formula 1 race car, and heres the pic, but i dont own it Get my drift? Its like shogunn saying he owns a ferrari f50 or something and just providing a pic... I dunno, its a good idea but personally i'd like the competition of winning a prize or something...

I agree, but site supporters could easily support a giveaway as well as this site Like buisness owners on the web and what not....

As a retailer, site giveaways are a great way to get new customers as well as support this site. I cannot make any promises at this time because i have to talk to my manufacturers but i may be able to occasionally donate to the site for this cause. It would be nice to see more members before we do this though.

Maybe after a Dodge of the month thing gets going we could come up with a list of parts that i can do in a giveaway. Then no matter what kind of dodge wins we will have something to give the winner. Or we could do universal stuff like light bulbs or piaa wiper blades. Its up to you all, im just throwing out ideas.

That sounds GREAT! First... we need to get the new stuff, like Dodge Of The Month, rolling. It's all in the works!! Very exciting! :) LOL! And this is so great, possibly having 'prizes'. :) YAY! LOL!

i ordered decals yesterday. I ordered several thousand for each of my websites so i wont have them for a few weeks though. I let you all know when they are available.
