Noisy fuel pump - 8/13/2007 3:54:35 PM    timmc58   Posts: 1 Joined: 8/13/2007 Status: offline I have a 1988 Daytona Shelby Z and I am the 3rd owner. The fuel pump is very, very noisy and always has been since I've owned the car. Is this normal? Post #: 1

When you kick the key forward without starting it you should hear it run (build pressure) for a few seconds. You for sure shouldn't here it with the car running unless you lay in the back seat with your head to the seat cushion, then maybe... LOL! I also have an 88 Shelby Z, does yours have the T-Tops?
