First time at the track - 8/10/2007 7:42:32 PM    Jon E Stud Posts: 41 Joined: 6/26/2007 Status: offline Well, I went to the track this past Wednesday night for the first time and I think I ran ok.  The weather here in northeast Ohio was a hot and humid 95 so my performance was definitely down.  My best 1/4 mile was 15.131.....1/8 mile was 9.768.....and top speed was 91.91 mph.   That's with Mopar CAI and Flowmaster catback only.  I found that it ran best in automatic and I couldn't tell a difference with the traction control on or off.  I think I need the Superchips!!! _____________________________ 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T GoManGo! #1225 Post #: 1

This guy at my job wants to race me with his NSX, he said he's doing in the low 12's and that I can probably do in the high 13's stock. Now I think he's BS-ing me. (in reply to Nicky B) Post #: 3

RE: First time at the track - 8/17/2007 11:04:12 AM    mnboy   Posts: 714 Joined: 1/27/2006 Status: offline Betta, Your co-worker is close -- I mean, I have no idea what he is running, but our stock Chargers are low, low 14's or a really good high 13.  (My personal best is a 13.85, but with an G-Tech Pro accelerometer, not at the track).  But you are talking apples and oranges again -- big butt, LOL, Charger vs Ricer NSX.  Now, if he wants to take on my son's STi, now we are talking.  MN  (in reply to betta510) Post #: 7

RE: First time at the track - 8/17/2007 11:16:36 AM    mnboy   Posts: 714 Joined: 1/27/2006 Status: offline Stud, Nice runs.  Awhile back I ran a 14.02 with a Jet 2 chip, K&N 63, and MF rear reso's.  Premium fuel.  That was the best run of three.  I ran a 13.85 with an G-Tech Pro, but who really knows, I just say 14.02.  Now I have the Superchips and haven't ran.  I found that if you get her started rolling, THEN nail it, she won't shock (smoke) the stock tires as much and I got a better time.  I also was there with 1/4 tank of fuel, engine cover off, (!), windows rolled up, solo and trunk empty, in "D", and stock PSI in the tires.
