Well, I went to the track this past Wednesday night for the first time and I think I ran ok. The weather here in northeast Ohio was a hot and humid 95 so my performance was definitely down. My best 1/4 mile was 15.131.....1/8 mile was 9.768.....and top speed was 91.91 mph. That's with Mopar CAI and Flowmaster catback only. I found that it ran best in automatic and I couldn't tell a difference with the traction control on or off. I think I need the Superchips!!!

1/4 was 15.13? Is that pretty good for a Charger? This guy at my job wants to race me with his NSX, he said he's doing in the low 12's and that I can probably do in the high 13's stock. Now I think he's BS-ing me.

My 60' time was 2.30.......anyone know if this is really bad or am I worried that I have the slowest Daytona R/T out there for nothing?

That isn't bad for the first time. 2 or sub 2s are what you should shoot for at the 60' mark with our over weight beasts so you have room for improvment. What was your reaction time off the line?

.569 was my best.......most of the other runs my reaction time was much, much worse. Although I found out the reaction time doesn't actually count unless you are racing someone....the clock doesn't start ticking until I leave the block....something I didn't know.....this makes me think my car is slower than it should be....but I will try again possibly next week.

Betta, Your co-worker is close -- I mean, I have no idea what he is running, but our stock Chargers are low, low 14's or a really good high 13. (My personal best is a 13.85, but with an G-Tech Pro accelerometer, not at the track). But you are talking apples and oranges again -- big butt, LOL, Charger vs Ricer NSX. Now, if he wants to take on my son's STi, now we are talking. MN

Stud, Nice runs. Awhile back I ran a 14.02 with a Jet 2 chip, K&N 63, and MF rear reso's. Premium fuel. That was the best run of three. I ran a 13.85 with an G-Tech Pro, but who really knows, I just say 14.02. Now I have the Superchips and haven't ran. I found that if you get her started rolling, THEN nail it, she won't shock (smoke) the stock tires as much and I got a better time. I also was there with 1/4 tank of fuel, engine cover off, (!), windows rolled up, solo and trunk empty, in "D", and stock PSI in the tires. Fun isn't it . MN
