What a beaut! Man, all you guys talking about getting the R/T with the road and track package makes me a little jealous, all I got is the simple R/T. I couldn't get more because I was trading in a 05' Ford F-150 and I still a little over 19K and they only gave me 14,500 for it (what a rip off) but I just had to have the Charger! But yeah, my payments are high enough as it is, I just couldn't afford aymore, I'm more than happy with her though! Sweet ride savage!

I hear ya dude I didn't want to spend as much as I did either but when you see the wheels and the interior it is totally worth the extra $$. I don't know preformance wise if the addtional $$ are worth it or not though since I don't have a regular r/t to compare too.

Around where I live everyone has the SE with the baby engine so when I did all my calculations and I figured I could afford an R/T, I felt privileged to be able to drive around in it! I really didn't even bother to look at the R/T with the R&T package. But with all the cool things you guys say you have and all the mods and extra HP, I feel like I should be over with the V6 specs  Speaking of "around where I live" someone hit my car yesterday  Dam I was MAD! This isn't the first time either, its happened with my 67' mustang, my Honda prelude (that car sucked) and with my 07' F-150. No one has any respect for other people's property around here, and they drive like idiots!

Thanks savage!

I had something wierd happened to the Charger the other day while driving on the freeway, I was driving at about 45mhp, when I tried to accelerate, but it wasn't going any faster, I put the gas pedal almost to the ground and nothing, it seemed like the car was off but it wasn't, after about 30 seconds it kicked it and the car started moving again. I looked at my gauges thinking maybe I might of put it in stick but i didn't and no other light was on? Anyone had this problem? Can anyone think of what it might been?

I bet it has something to go with the gay mds, like maybe it didn't want to kick back into 8 cyclinder mode. Does anybody know if the dealer can turn the mds off, or if there is any other way to do so.

There are Mopar kits that comes w/non MDS lifters/cam/pcm/tcm.  I bet you could talk a dealer into installing one of them.

A B&G tune can also disable it.  I believe you need to swap the MDS lifters to do it properly.

When you use autostick shift it disables MDS.

I love my Fujita F5 CAI on my 06 Daytona Charger.  It's a 4" one piece solid polished aluminum ( no couplings between two sections ) that slides down into the hole that the old intake used to put the cone filter near the front nose scoop.  You can pick them up on ebay for $200.  However, ( there's always a catch ) you have to open the wheel well to install/ remove for cleaning the filter.  Easily done, don't be scared, by tuning th wheel all the way to the left.  Removing the 3 plastic pop buttons and 3 screws under the bumber and reaching in.  Looks sweet, wide open in front of engine polished tube with cool logo facing out.  Definate increase in power and better fuel econ over stock.  Anyway blah, blah, blah, will comment soon on exhaust.
Pretty much a drone issue with any exhaust.  Thanks MDS!  Highhorseperformance has a fix for MDS with reported loss of 1-2 mpg.
