Thanks to the guys over at NitroForumz.com, I was able to hook up to the available video/audio outputs from the MyGig Radio.
I didn't get the rear seat video option for the Avenger, but still wanted to be able to utilize the DVD player in the radio.
The benefits of this setup are:
1) Inexpensive
2) Can view DVD Movies in back seat when driving
3) Can have rear seat passengers using headphones so front seat passengers do no have to listen to the movie
The only drawback is that if you're using the MyGig to play the movie, then you can't use it for anything else. I believe if you have the factory rear seat video option then you can play videos for the rear while listening to something else in the front.
All that's needed for rear seat video is to get a head rest mounted monitor with built in IR transmitter for wireless headphones. A set of two can be found on eBay for around $100-$150 new. In fact you can get ones already installed in headrests for you for around $200.
