I have pretty much zero money to work with right now so I'm just looking for really cheap ways to slowly improve towing, MPG, power, and general performance. I tow pretty light loads but right now with the bed full of camping gear and 2 ATV's on the trailer, I'm getting 7-8 mpg at best... (in reply to steve05ram360) Post #: 11

RE: DIY links - 3/26/2008 2:11:19 PM    steve05ram360 Posts: 11410 Joined: 1/22/2004 From: Elk Grove, CA Status: offline cheep mods are 180* t-stat, crank sensor mod, and the open air filter mod (search for "FIPK no more").  then when bux are available, get the 52mm fastman TB a single cat back exhaust kit and you will be in good shape.  dont expect a change in mpg... maybe 1.0 if your lucky.  I modded the hell out of my 5.9 and got it up into the mid 14's on the hiway, up 1.5 mpg or so...  it ran awesome and performance was way better than stock, just not a big bump in mileage. _____________________________ http://www.dodgeforum.com/m_1037052/tm.htm http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e266/sdoherma/ (in reply to RamTate) Post #: 12

RE: DIY links - 3/26/2008 2:19:52 PM    RamTate   Posts: 73 Joined: 1/18/2005 Status: offline Ok that's cool thanks for the tips!  The only thing I have right now is a drop in K&N and I have dual pipes after the cat with no muffler.  I'm probably going to clean up the TB and the TPS that I saw some write-ups on and then do the normal things like plugs etc. I have about 82K miles right now and she needs some TLC that's for sure.
