i was curious as to how the DAKs with level kits or lift kits are holding up? has anthing worn out yet? Lifts tend to cause something to wear prematurely..... how long have the lifts/level kits been installed? is the factory ride completly thrown down the drain? I heard after 6 months with the level kit something in the front 4wd will HAVE to be replaced...?

Well I've only had mine on for a month or so, so far so good. I think it rides better with the kit in, ride still sucks though IMO...

had mine in for almost 10 months now with zero problems. I take it off roading as well and zero problems. It is also a 4x4 and it works prefectly.

Ive had my TM leveling kit and 2" aluminum block lift installed for about 4 mo. No problems yet and rides good. But, I have been getting this groan and creek in my steering wheel and I wonder if its related. Does anyone know what that is??

i left the frt end alone and went with the lowering shakles. no problems and have them on for almost two years.

does the leveling kit help with anything other than looks? say ride/ performance?

it handles better but since i switched out the gears it still breaks the back end loose. noticed that the ride is not as bumpy. but the frt still has the sway in it.

Yes it is the TM.

I dont think you have anything to worry about with the TM kit. The CV's arent at this extreme angle thats going to make a big wear difference. Were talking about 1.5" of lift.

If the point of this post is to see if you should invest in the TM kit, then thats the one to get.

Billcat you can argue that it makes the truck more capable offroad. The front end is just to low for alot of conditions. The front simply sitting higher is just an advantage for off the pavement. The 2" blocks for the rear are smart for off-roaders because we have that damn fuel tank that sits a little low under the frame, so jacking the back up a bit is cheap insurance for the person finding new spots for hunting, fishing, or just trailing for fun.

Well, here's my review...

Lots of peoples that seen my Dak's before and after are saying wow... Other than my wife!!! Anyway the look as totally change since the TM level kit was installed. The ride, will a little stiffer but got use to it, the front catching more wind, 1st day impression and now OK. MPG is the same no change as some where saying that if I lift the front, more wind catching mean more MPG, NOT.

Took the truck for service yesterday and asked the Dodge Mecanic to have a special look at the front to make sure everything was holding and said that it was great and shouldn't wear more because of the level kit... Told me to be only carefull if I notice something wrong in the front and take my truck to another dealer, they might say that my warranty is not covering, He said that their shop will cover in anyway cause they modify vehicle everyday. With the TM kit in front, then the 2" blocks in rear, it would not be sitting level anymore, would it?? How does it look like that? I want mine higher, but hate the nose down look they have stock. The thought of getting the tank up higher is pleasing though....

Well if you don't want that rack look that much get the level kit and 1 inch block and wouldn't look that bad. That might be my next move until the real body lift.
