Default Post Pictures Of Your Neon!

I finally got my digital camera up& running so I decided to take some pictures of my Car and I thought it would be cool to see other Neons : )

Here's my 1998 Plymouth Neon Sport with a SOHC 2.0 Automatic (Yes I know automatic!)

Here's the little monster! 2.0 SOHC

Heres a pic of the damage from the deer hitting my hood at 55mph

Heres a pic of my throttle body spacer I made out of an extra Neon intake : ) It works very well actually which I was baffled by the noticable gains, theres usually a flat accelleration spot around 15-20mph and this spacer has eliminated that and after 25mph its like a rocket : ) The engines power band appears to be 2500Rpm to 5800Rpm it seems tonever quit accelerating after that spacer! but could still use more off the line.

Nice car man!

I cut the throttlebody base off of a extra SOHC plasticintake with a chop saw and the most usable space I could find off of it was about 3/4 of an inch which is still prettty high especially if you plan to mod a CAI but if you have the right meterial you could make that pretty easy. Then I just siliconed (copper RTV)the heck out of my throttlebody base and put it on and let it set for 20 minutes and I drove it : )

Wow Ricers in your neck of the woods do that cheater **** too where after you beat them they still want more and think they are faster no matter how many times you waste them.... lol

Oh and Nice body kit by the way : )

My Future Brother in Law's 1997 Blazer is pretty fast off the line and he has a few modsithas good accelerationfor a V-6Blazerbut not fast enough to take my SOHC Automatic (actually no contest hahahaha) Even withmy automatic his Blazer is defeated pretty early. Once the automatic gets done picking its assaround 25mph then the thing grows balls andI'm gone. Its been pretty hot out like 80s+and that seems to have made me a bit slower off the line compared to Spring, must be some sort of IAT sensorissue screwing with the fuel mixture.Anybody know how to cool down the IAT/Map sensor so it stops sendinghotter readingsto the PCM? It works fine and doesnt show any codes just from a performance stand point it gets a bitslow off the line after you drive a half hour or more. I can't even do that resistor hack thing cuz of the all in one Map and IAT sensor BS on my 98. I know they arent supposed to work after the PCM figures out its being given the same readings but what the hell worth a shot? lol

Doesthat K&N Filter really work for more power? I seen one today at Auto Zone for $50 and I'm not sure I want to drop that kind of bread yet to try a filter... : )

You do need to clean and oil it every now and then though.
