Does anyone know how I can get my 340 hp hemi to 350 hp? I am told air intake, PCM, and exhaust are what is different in the factory 350 hp, but I'd like to know if anyone has a specific prescription. I think I know where to go to solve the air intake part of the equation, but I am confused about exhaust and PCM. Am told that the 2007 R/T charger already has a free flowing "suitcase" muffler, so do I just dump the resonators and replace with Blastin Bobs straight pipe and tips? How do I address the PCM, is there an upgrade option here? Am I close?

Yes, it's true the Daytona and a R/T with R/T option have an extra 10 HP. It's also true that it comes from the exhaust/Intake/PCM.

Your right, get an aftermarket CAI, CatBack.  As far as the PCM... just get a PCM tuner like SuperChips.

Take the traditional route that most have in modding.  CAI/Catback/SuperChips normally first since their easiest.  Then progress onto CAM/Heads/Torque Converter. Then, if inclined, boosting of somekind or stroking.

Do you know if using a chip programmer will disable the "fuel saver mode"?

Not a SuperChip but a custom tune from B&G will.

Diablo is supposed to release a new tuner "Predator". On its "promise list" of options is MDS Disable.

Remember this is still vapor and hasn’t been released.  SuperChips promised custom tunes but haven’t delivered to this date

Long time engine builder David Vizard
who is now the NASCAR Motorsports program director at UNC-Charlotte
met with the Dodge engineers who designed, built and tested
the 5.7 Hemi
and then wrote this article:

http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tech/0403phr_chrysler_hemi_57_liter_345ci_engine_review/

Notice at the end of the article
that David Vizard gives instructions
about how to do an easy home porting project
to clean up the ports that can raise airflow
from 270 to 302 cfm.

That 10% increase in max lift airflow
plus a switch to 93 octane gasoline for detonation surpression
on the now leaner than 11.5 to 1 wide open throttle air to fuel ratio
would probably be good for a more than a 34 horsepower increase.

I think you just laid out my upgrade plan for my '07 RT.  I have asked in a few places now....but here it is again.

When it comes to CAI....what should I be looking at.  There is MOPAR, K&N and the Ebay stuff.

Thanks for the feedback.....I think I will go with the 63 Aircharger.  Looks like a good and simple kit.
