You need to run the full tail pipe out the back to get a decent "burble" for lack of a better word from the exhaust. At idle with the 40 mine sounds like a V/8 idleing but you're not going to make it sound like a V/8 when you step into it although a full exhaust out the back will definately help get rid of the fart can effect. I've had it on for six years and am about to replace it with a Magnaflow. I'll let you know how that sounds.

My friend has a cherry bomb and it sounds like a v8, of course you could always get a burned out glass pack, like a cherry bomb. Really loud though, you could get a ticket.

I've got a Borla cat back with high flow Magnaflow cat and it sounds really good at idle and low speeds, once I get a hill or step on it fast the V6 sounds comes out. Can't get away from it

ORIGINAL: wink2873 dynomax super turbo, is the best sounding v6 muffler i second that, gives it a more v8 sound at idle, not to ricey in the top end for the v6, well worth it, wont give u a headache either while taking long trips, but you can definately hear it
