I think I need an A/C wiring diagram or some general advice. It seems that my A/C clutch doesn't get any power. It never turns on (and it used to last year). Any advice or a diagram? Thanks

Your system might need to be charged; the clutch won't engage if thepressure is too low.

Thanks Greg. I think I have a problem with the WOT relay. Any ideas where it's located? Also, is there any way to test it?

I have an 89 Dakota, the A/C relay is mounted on the driver's side fender wall. There are 3similar size relays mounted next to each other; it's the closest to the front.

I don't think these 2 relays are the same, are they? I need to find the WOT/AC cutout relay and not the AC clutch relay. I do have fault code 33. And I seem to have enough freon.

I think there is only the one relay (I can find only one relay in the books I have: 89 factory service and 87-96 Haynes). The wiring digrams show that relayengages/disengages the clutch and is itself controlled by the computer (ie.computer disengages the clutch during WOT).

There is no WOT relay on a '93. You have a port fuel injected Magnum engine. The computer knows if you have your foot plantedand to shut off the A/C. I don't know what is wrong, but the WOT relay is not it.

I just spoke to a Dodge dealer. They say that the 2 relays are NOT the same. The p/n for the WOT relay is 4443907. They couldn't tell where the WOT relay is...

Nice... The dealer had a part number, but couldn't find where it is. Maybe because it does not exist!!! If that's true, I need to go back to the drawing board. I do have a fault code of 33, which according to my book it's the WOT relay circuit. I need some big time help!

Forgetting the relay for a moment and since your a/c worked last year, I'm stillsuspicous that you have lost some refrigerant. Did you check the pressure yet? It's best to get that out of the way before checking the rest of the system. As stated in the post I referenced: "The system is most likely low on refrigerant, but to check, pull the connectors from the low and high pressure cutouts and simply jumper them, one at a time. DO NOT RUN THE COMPRESSOR ANY MORE THAN YOU HAVE TO, TO ACCOMPLISH TROUBLESHOOTING!!!!!!! RUNNING THE COMPRESSOR WITHOUT REFRIGERANT WILL DAMAGE IT." By jumpering, the poster is refering to theterminals inside the respective connector boot.
The low pressure switch on my truck is located on the passenger side firewall.

If that doesn't help hopefully someone with a 93 factory manual can chime in.
