I use the following custom tune: 91 octane Paddle Shift / Hold Gear Reduced Torque Mgmt. Raise the speed limiter 170 <= never been there but why not

I use either Sport Tune or Custom with 87 octane, Paddle shift / auto kick out Reduced Torq management Rev limiter at 5800 Raised speed limit to 200 (Nice even # I can dream can't I) There is a noticable difference in power if you use the 91 octane setting but the increase in fuel cost brought me back to 87 after I was done playing with it. I don't know for sure but I think my custom tune is probably the same as the sport tune, I can't tell the difference. Don't waist your time with the "raise the Rev limiter" option it brings your engine to the top governed RPM and does this weird bouncing thing (scared me to death) it gives you a couple hundred more RPM but what's the point at that rpm. Have fun and try them all!

Hardcharger, I, too, am a brand new Superchips owner. MangoinTX got me hooked after posting his findings with his. I unhooked my Jet 2 chip, reprogrammed my ECU and went out to play. Wow. I use 91 octane fuel anyway, so I programmed the rev limiter to 6,200, reduce torque management, raised tranny shift points, and finally just cause I could, raised the speed limiter to 170, even though it's much faster than my tires, or me, want, or could, go. I'll change it to 65 when I let my kids borrow the car ... (I know you can't, but the thought just hit me). Firing up the engine, the motor didn't idle as smooth as it did, and taking it out, it didn't take hardly any accelerator pressure to let you know something has changed... as I got on the open road, I let her go and WOW! the car leaped forward quickly with the engine revving smoothly to 6,000 in first, 6,200 in second, 6,200 in third, then I let her settle down in fouth. I need to go to the track to report findings, but the SC is MUCH healthier than the Jet 2 chip, I can tell the difference just in the seat of the pants, tachometer, and how much quicker the car's speedometer gained. You could hear the tappets getting busy in the 6,000 range, but I remember from the old days, it was fine with the proper oil to do this. The transmission shifted keeping the RPMs in a much better power band range and keeped the car from it's usual third gear slump -- it just kept revving and pulling! I think if you put on shorty headers (midrange stong) and higher flow cats and still use the open suitcase to keep noise down, this may be the trick to reaching the 5.7's potential of a 4,000 pound hot rod. Of course the rest of the job gets very expensive after this (cam, head work) but I didn't want to loose the MDS with it's ability to give better milage. Dave, our Charger moderator, keeps insisting he gets better milage with the 91 tune than he did with the Jet 2 chip -- so I'm going to see what happens. Overall, it is a great expierence so far, and looking to see where to go from here... Mango is having good luck with his NOS with the SC... when he said it "kicked him in the gut" when he hit it with the SC and N2O I am a firm believer. Just the SC was a really eye opener! Like they say... "stay tuned". MN
