99 durango water pump removal - 9/27/2004 9:02:24 PM    carpcotton   Posts: 2 Joined: 9/27/2004 Status: offline I need to replace the water pump on my 99 durango. How do you break the nut loose on the pulley in front of the pump to remove it ? Help appreciated. Post #: 1

RE: 99 durango water pump removal - 9/29/2004 9:32:16 AM    GhostRider3387 Posts: 87 Joined: 1/8/2004 From: United States Status: offline remove the fan clutch assembly from the water pump by turning the nut counterclockwise as viewed from the front.Don't remove the fan clutch yet,you will need to remove the fan shroud bolts and clips and then remove the fan shroud and clutch assembly as a unit. Also look at how the drive belt is routed and make a diagram of it because if you rout it wrong the the water pump will be running backwards and the engine will over heat.
