This is getting interesting......because if we can see a 600hp motor in a Cadillac.....can we expect it in the base model Corvettes and possibly even the Camaro?

"The MT editors expect the version used in the CTS-V to produce about 600 horsepower, or around 100 horses short of what the Z07 will produce."

So if I'm reading this right, does that mean the Z07/Blue Devil will get 700HP?? Interesting...I guess cost will determine whether the new Camaro and base Vettes get this engine.

Yep, Chevy has pushed the Z07 up to about 700hp, and I dont see a reason as to why the base model Corvette or Camaro couldnt recieve a de-tuned version of the Z07 motor. Bob Lutz already said he would drop the current Z06 motor into the Camaro to battle the Challenger, so I dont see a problem with it happening. Especially considering the GT500, which is a limited and expensive bloat of a Mustang.

That is almost too much power for an "average" driver. Many 500 hp vipers are dust in the wind from owners not being used to that type of power.
