So i noticed that a 99 3.9l dakota sport has two oxygen sensors one, right before the catalytic converter the other right after it,  if i remove the catalytic converter and put a pipe in the space, I know its not street legal, but i was wondering what effect it would have on the computer, I mean would the computer see that the two sensors are reading the same and make the motor run leaner or something. or if i remove it would  the check engine light  come one. or etc any problems it could lead me to would be nice to know.

ya, your o2 will come on.

you can get an O2 sim for the rear O2 sensor.  and then you will have no codes.

remove the rear sensor, plug the hole in the pipe, and zip tie the sensor somewhere warm under the car with fresh oxygen.  that trick has worked for some people

ahaha i'm soo good, i was sitting here reading my forum stuff in my mail box and was like "what's a cat and why are they trying to remove it?" i missed the first post for this thread. so i was reading and thought they must be talking about the catalytic converter, because they can't actually be talking about a cat lol, like roadkill, ahahaha, i was right but i still wanted to share my loserishness with you guys anyways lol. thanks for the  info though lol, later
