what options do i have?
well i finally installed my new tires that i ordered over the winter. i got 4 toyo proxes s/t 275/45r20..they are really impressive looking tires and just look great on the truck..i took the truck out for a spin to see how the new tires would be, and i was very mad..the tires are rubbing, i cant take bumps hard,i cant take turns fast, highway driving is kinds scary because goingon on rampsor off ramps if you are going fast and take the turns hard the tires rub..its a real dissapointment..those are the rec. tire size for my r/t with 20's, but i didnt realize my drop kit would have that much of an affect..after a few min. of driving and observation my tires dont really hit the inner plastic part of the fender they are just barely rubbing if at all there..they are hitting the top of the fender and rubbing hard on the bottum of the fender flares when the tires rub..i have tried looking at modification, but it just wont work unless i chop off much of the fender..i really dont want to raise the car, b/c then i would have to eliminate my drop kit and spend a lot of money to reconvert the truck back to stock height..i was thinking of air suspension, but thats also really pricy and out of my price range..and i bought the tires online, so i would have to sell them used probably get ripped off, and then pay more to buy 4 new tires..so my questions are what other options do i have...does anyone know of another alternate route i cant take? im sure this has happened to other individuals how did you solve it? if not looks like im gunna have to sell the tires and go back to a lower profile tire
thanks[/align]
