Hey, i've been searching around the forum and can't find a clear answer so: What would be the best light bulbs for a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T that are very bright and are white/blue color? Thanx

P.S. I don't think I want HID lights

Hammer,

Use this chart to help you decide.  5,500 Kelvin is a nice white bright light.  "Cooler" tones are are more blue and are a higher number.  "Hotter" tones are more yellow and are a lower number.  Stick around the 5,500K lights and you'll get good coverage.

I had changed the stock bulbs to Xenon Whites (80W lo/100W hi) and was somewhat disappointed. The light color was close to white and would light up reflective surfaces like signs great but it didn't light up the duller surfaces as well. This might have to do with the blue light having a tendency to scatter more than the lower light frequencies. The higher the color temperature, the more blue light. To my eye, the 100W Xenon Whites on the highs weren't any better than the stock 60W. I have just switched to Silver Stars and the difference is night and day (pun intended). The small amount of color (yellow) really helped fill in the details and I could see everything much further than I could with the whites.

Sylvania says these lights are close in color temperature to sunlight which appears to be what our eyes are "tuned" for. These are legal wattages (55/60) so there is no hassles from the cops. Also bear in mind that the blue lights like the Sylvania Cool Blues are illegal in some areas. We get hassled enough with the our exhausts, etc. and don't need to provide any more excuses to be stopped.

The part numbers for these are 9006XSST for low beams, 9005XSST for high beams, 9145ST for fogs. Make sure you get the XS bulbs (straight connnector) for the lo/hi beams or the connectors won't fit. I got mine through Amazon for about half of MSRP.

Another number to compare which may be more important than color temperature is light output in lumens. This is a measure of the brightness. The Sylvania's are 1000 lumens lo/1700 lumens hi.

Don't forget to check your headlight alignment after putting in the brighter bulbs. The other folks on the road will appreciate it.
