what the window? i took the pictures after a rain storm and there all foged up. im acctually selling both the car and camaro, the stealth is enough for me. that engine should have about 250-400hp. the camaro has a 5-speed, posi, etc.

I HATE MY COMPUTER, NOW I HAVE TO TYPE THIS WHOLE THING OVER AGAIN!!!!

ok im better now.
ill have to post up the video i made of my jeep, CRAZY loud.

i wish i could afford to finish the iroc but with the stealth its just not possible. i mean i need to do front brakes since the rotors are warped, the trans and clutch (good thing it only cost $450 to do, its great knowing people) carier bearings, all the bushing and such in the front end, and if thats not enough the clock just hit 113k so its going to need the 120k service done pretty soon. i aslo want to do a suspension drop, rims, tint, and a few other things.
these cars are so EXPENSIVE, its a good thing i graduate next week so i can work all summer, i also get $18 an hour and work about 60hrs a week, i'll be burnt out at the end of summer but will have a kick ass car, sad how i think isnt it lol.

i wish i could get a job at $18 an hour, it took me a month to get enough money for new wheels and tires for my stealth, and god knows how long it will take me to get rebuild 350 to put into trans am(i am planing to rebuild the 305 that is in it and put it into the stealth some day(just dreaming...))

lol, why not just put a 350 in it? there the same block so you mine aswell go bigger.
ya my job is nice i was able to purchase my iroc ($1000) and build the engine (alone cost $2000), and buy my stealth for $4000, and pay for insurance and what not all at the same time, and i was only working for 6 months were i was at, not bad.  but now everything has to go to the stealth, i just can wait to see what i end up with...

i'm too cheap to buy 350 for each car, i might as well use 305 that i have in firebird right now to put into the stealth.
the thing is that i know how hard it is to put a v8 in stealth, so i'm not going to do it until i have a decent job, which might happen in five years or so.
I think that i could adopt the front subframe from a camaro to stealth making it easy to fit the engine, but then i would have to make trans mounts and cut the floor, then i have to look for rear end from r/t turbo model or i might be able to use one from camaro. It would be nice if these cars had actual frames under them, then i could buy wrecked iroc and put stealth body on it..

you got to think to yourself, is it worth it? i mean it would be really expensive to do the swap, also with gas, it just seems pointless, another thing is the 305's only have like what 180hp if that? if i were you i would either wait for a nice 350 (like mine ;) ).

i think that stock 305 with tpi is 225 hp and 280-295 punds of torque, now the tbi or carb unit from early 80's is the one with 145 hp and 195 punds of torque, which stock stealth with v6 just beats the crap out of. I got the high output 305 which is the best 305 you could get, which is the only reason i didn't buy the 350 project firebird, it needed a lot of work to get done but had 350.
edit: i'll probably will use the 305 as a cofee table

6 miles to a gallon wouldn't even get me home from college on one tank of gas.
even though i think they can get 12-15 they still would be way below my goal
My goal is 12 second car that gets 20 miles to a gallon

i just stoped by the gas station, and calculated that i'm geting 18.6 mpg on firebird, and other week i stoped by and found that i get about 22 mpg on stealth. The previous owner of firebird reported that he was geting about 13 mpg so my guess is that when he drove the poor engjine was always in 3k+ rpm range. Stealth is a nice car, i just wish i had twin turbo engine and all wheel drive.

i get about 20 with my 91 Stealth TT, not bad, and if i beat on it then it goes to like 10 lol.
i went to a cruise one day and on the way home i had about a 1/4 tank, ( i was with another 3000gt so we just had to speed lol) but after about 20ish miles the light came on lol.

After further investigation, dropping a vette engine in the Stealth is just too costly.  Almost anything can be done if you spend enough money, but there is too much customization involved, so I've opted to rebuild the SOHC engine and let this part lie for now.  The external restoration work has gone well so far.  Used a metallic ruby red paint on the exterior and installed two-tone leather seats (drk gray inset with beige), new 18" BBS Rims, dark tinted windows.  Left the top painted black as in the original two-tone design, which looks cool for contrast but painted everything else ruby red, including inside of headlamps which used to be black.  Yet to do:  putting new touch screen lcd stereo in the double din space complete with onboard navigation system and bluetooth.  Vented "Ferrari" hood with air intake going in and several other improvements.  Looks like an '07 model!  The Stealth design was well ahead of it's time, so a nicely restored Stealth can turn a lot of heads.  Will post more pics when finished.  Here's a quickie pic I did yesterday in some rather bad lighting.
