Hello, I am back again. We fixed the intake plenum gasket and replaced the crankshaft sensor. Now as my husband was driving to work using the cruise control going about 60mph he said the speedometer dropped to zero, then it acted as if the motor had went dead, so he was going to pull off the road when it seemed to start again, and he continued on. He says it ran perfect after that. Has anyone had this problem, or does anyone know whats going on with this 1999 Dodge Durango 318? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

) I did have a situation where I started it and it immediately turned off. It did this for about 3 times and would only stay on if I kept the pedal depresses slightly. AFter it got going, it never did it again. I had my fuel filter and fuel pump changed, and have had no problems since....just something for you to think about. BTW....as you probably already know....the fuel filter and pump are IN THE TANK!!!! Bummer for us...great for mechanic shops/dealers.
