Interesting. If they were going to copy a front-end design, I am glad it was the Charger. I think it will look great.
I also think the quote of "The Ram's current 235-hp/300lb-ft 4.7-liter V8 gets the same makeover the 2008 Dodge Dakota received, boosting power to 300-hp/390lb-ft..." is a misprint. I think the original poster intended to convey that the revised specs of the 4.7L V8 to besomething more like300-hp/330lb-ft.
Can't wait to get more firm specs on the revised Hemi. I also can't wait for folks to start putting the revised Hemi into their existing 3rd Gen Rams.
Note how the pickups were travelling in 'convoy'
so that MPG, noise, temperatures, etc
could all be compared accurately
and stored on onboard computers.
On various Dodge pickup forums there are arguments
about such things as:
I wonder how much aerodynamic improvement
could be got
from a specially designed 'Bra'
different but similar in attachment
to what those pickups are wearing?
Such a Bra
would partially protect against stone chips
and make it easier to clean Florida's "Love Bugs" off
after you drive through a swarm of millions.
Now, this is the first creditable pics I have seen for a 2009. I have contested all along there will not be a new 09 Ram, but this is begining to change my mind.
Now to the pics. Can not see the headrests. I hope there are new seats in there. Do you think the front is really that boxy or do they have some fluff under there to get it to look boxy? Holes in the bumper, seem rather big, maybe moving turn signals down there, or just b***er fog lights? Last, something right in the middle of the bumper poking through, could it finally be a tow hook? If it is that is horrible. One tow hook smack in the middle.... Well at least it would there I guess. Now, if it had some kind of flip up plate and behind it was a tow hook, that would be cool.

Please tell me that Dodge will re-gain HP supremacy over all competition again, I liked bragging. Then the Pesky2007 Tundra and Silverado came along, bastards. I hope they don't make it look anything like the Tundra though, because the Tundra is horrible. V8 Cummins? Sounds fun, can't wait for Ford and Chevy to copy that idea.
BTW, I think that bringing the Tundra along for the ride is a way of saying "Hey people, this is what the 09 Ram will beat or compare to!"
I'm just glad to hear about the v8 cummins. I've always wanted a cummins, but honestly for a small family living in town without a big trailer, the current diesel pickups are quite the overkill.Although, given the right opportunity, I would still purchase one. Really interested in the fuel mileage. I'm hoping the mileage will be in the mid 20s considering my dad has an 04 cummins and gets 22 in a 1-ton.
