Well lately ive been getting only about 23 mpg (thats completely babying it aka no revs over 3000) and its pretty much all in town. Any reason why my gas mileage sucks so much? And my mods are No Cat, Dynomax muffler, K&N Filter, and a ported airbox.
And another thing, my temp sensor is acting retarded. When I first start my car and drive for about2 miles,it spikes all the way up to H and stays there for a while then it drops down then goes up halfway and then back down and then it acts normal. Ive already replaced the thermostat. And I think the sensor might be a reason why im getting crappy mileage. Cause the fan goes nuts when it reads that high even when the temp isnt that high. Could this be? Should I replace the sensor?
Any answers are much appreciated.

Hmm, the car isn't that old. Have you taken it to a shop and asked one of them to check it out? But ohh, but some coolant in it and try that, on my dads truckit was doing that on an '06 and he put some "NEW" coolant that was like 15 dollars, The people said "The Good Stuff". But after that it ran great.

I had the same problem with my old Shadow, I got about 290 kilometers to a $35 tank, while my friends were getting 500 km's plus. Not sure the problem there, but I honestly think it got the same mileage as my truck does. Could be a sensor for sure.
When I replaced the fuel pressure regulator in the TBI my gas mileage improved by 25%. As for the temperature "peaking" on the gauge that is caused by air in the cooling system. This drove me nuts for a year and I replaced the rd and water pump. When you replace the thermostat drill a 1/8" hole in the flange so the system can be fully purged.
