Does the car seem to accelerate consistantly with the engine RPM or do the RPM's go up and then the car to catch up? I guess what I am asking is do you hear a fast response of the engine with a slow acceleation of the car?

it sounds as if this guy doesnt know much about the car. going from the intake to a relay? why dont you take the car out for a test drive (if you can) and see what it feels like. it sounds like a clutch if its sliping. it doesnt matter how new a clutch is, if a person doesnt know how to drive with it then they go fast. it also doesnt matter how good it is for the same reason. if you can't drive stick, then learn on another car.

what year is it? if its a 2nd gen then you can go to autozone, IF the check engine is on. you can always buy a datalogger, all you need is the program witch you can download, and a cheap palm and the datalogger cord. if you can smell the ecu and all the computers, if its smells then it could be that causing the problem.

under the middle of the dash. Gotta take off the walls on the right side of the steeringwheel and left side of the glovebox, its covered in carpet.

thats the ecu, the other is the ecs computer located in the passanger side rear fender. go to the hatch and there should be a little door type thing, take it out and theres a computer in there, check that one out.
since its a 92 then you can't go to a autozone or somthing like that since it the OBI computers and not OBII, i thinks what its called, it basiclly means first gen and sencond gen.
does the car feel like it hesitates? like bucks or sputters? is that want you mean by the power not being there once you lay into it?
