Replace blower resistor twice. Getting ready to replace again. Just went out. There is obviously a problem other than that. Dealership said new blower motor. Does this make any sense? Works on HIGH speed but none others. Please help.</P>

i have a 2001 dodge stratus. my blower motor resistor needs to be changed and i can't find it. i popped down the glove box and felt around in there but found nothing. can anybody help me on this.

If its the same place as mine the its not in the glove box. Underneath the glove box is a black plastic cover. Take that off (usually comes off with a couple of fastners) It should be to the left of the blower itself. Wiring harness is plugged into it. Mine came off with just the two screws on the side of the resistor. Its about 3 inches long. Hope this helps.</P>

thanks for the quick reply. there is a panel about 6 inches wide just below the glove box. does this just pry off. i'm a little nervous about breaking something. also, it kind of appears to be all one piece with the rap around center console. any hints you could give would be greatly appreciated.</P>

You can have someone check the amp draw to see if it's within spec.

I just bought a 96 cirrus as a winter beater. Has 182,000km on it. Blower was gone when I bought it - had dealer repair, went again just over 30 days after I bought it (they won't cover repair). Dealership is telling me $200+ to fix, would like to do myself. Anyone know if the above directions also apply to a '96?
