Default 318 rebuild

I have a 69 Dodge D100. I need to rebuild the 318 that is in it. Does anyone know of anything I can do to soup it up a little while i'm in there?

There are lots of things that you can do while you are in there. Camshaft, heads, intake, carb.... The most bang for your buck would be a camshaft. Not too aggressive if that is not what you are looking for but a couple bumps up from stock. That stock camshaft is very small.

Check out the June issue of Mopar Muscle. They just did an article on a 318 rebuild. May give you some good ideas.

How do I get the dust cover off the bellhousing to loosen the flywheel/torque converter bolts?

Headers and dual exhaust as well as four barrell will do wonders for it, especially with the camshaft upgrade already mentioned.
