Default ABS help

I hit a pothole on Tuesday and my ABS activated and stuck on. I was not on the brakes when it happened. When I say it activated I heard the normal pulsing like your sliding in snow except it was 70 degrees and I was not on the brakes. So I pulled over ,popped the hood and quickly traced the noise to the box behind the battery. I unplugged the two electrical connections a 7 pin and maybe a 11 pin connector and it stopped. I guessing this is the ABS module (motor). Anybody else have this happen to them ? And how would I know if it was that box or an individual ABS sensor on one of the wheels. Any help here greatly appreciated. 99 dak 318 auto cc 4x4
