I have a 2001 D with the 5.9 liter engine. The service manual shows the location of the transmission control module as being under the hood, on the passengers side and just ahead of the air filter air intake horn. It is not located there on my vehicle. Can anyone tell me where to look for it? Thanks.

LOL, yeah I can see how that might be frustuating. The transmission controls for your truck are handled by the PCM. The PCM is th esilver box located on the bulkhead of the passenger side.

Only Durangos with a 4.7 engine have a seperate TCM.
