Default New Intake Idea, read this.

I have thought of a new plan of an intake. Let me explain, I used to work with my dad at his electrical contractor, I learned about conduit pipe and pretty much everything you can do, we have an electricl, mandel bender for them, they also make 3" aluminum pipe, rearly used, I know we have some though in the warehouse. Look at some of those expensive intakes, for example lets take airaid or any type that has a metal(usually aluminum tube) and see what it is made of. Air hat, if its plastic it wont get that hot, therefore colder air, brackets, heat sheild and a filter, and that fansy bend aluminum tube. total around 200 bucks(rough estimates) Now go on ebay find the cheapest intake with the hat, brackets, connectors, and that staight tube, and a filter.

Take the hat , the filter and the connectors and brackets, ditch the tube. Now measure out your demensions under your hood where you want the tube to go, go on cut the aluminum pipe, bend it at those angles, and attach the filter to one end, build some kind of heat sheild around it, and the other end to your airhat.

Expensive style intake for a fraction of the cost, with the same durability and components,
total spent- 40ish on the eBay kit
Less then an hour of your time with the tube.
Installition time.

After football ends I'm going back to work there. Then I'm going to see how everything will work.

I'm good huh?

MIke.
