Default almost 100,000 in my 2002 Ram 5.9

i am at 96,000 now. i have never had the truck in the shop. i still am on the origional brake pads. I bought the truck new in 2001 right when the new style came out, October i think. i have changed oil every 3,000 - 4,000, tranny fluid every 20,000 and rear diff. w/ synthetic at 25,000 miles.

Should i take the truck to the dealer and hope to get a cool service advisor and see if there are any service issues that I should get them to do before it goes out of warranty?

Things to do:
belts
hoses
radiator flush
ABS and brake fluid flush
plugs
wires
brakes/bearings Front and Rear

Anything else ?? need suggestions. i like preventative maintenance!

Thanks! i am new to the forum and appreciate your input!

joel

Well, if you've had it for that long and nothing has been wrong with anything, it's all up to you bud.. I would though, just because I'm like you.. I like knowing that nothing is wrong with my truck.. it makes you feel safer and better about things. I'm surprised the bearings haven't went bad yet.. hah!

That's great news and gives us newer dodge owners a breath of confidence in their products! And yes, you should take that truck in to get new belts and most certainly check those brake pads

Do yo have a bike I can borrow ???

It is always good to keep up with the recommended manitenance. I would change the plugs, wires, hoses myself and leave the other things to the Dealer.

Yeah, I'm with Vader on this one. Besides, if it ever breaks down, it's not like your stuck somewhere with all those bikes in the back. Dude, do you like to ride or what???????

Mountain Biking is my favorite thing to do with my clothes on. Trout fishing is a close second though.
